Particles are randomly generated and distributed in 3D space, then 3D-positions are dynamically updated and diplayed in realtime. Particle spin is controlled by the distance of the mouse pointer in relation to the particle center of mass and its position in relation to the center of the flash stage. This demo is sprite based, written from scratch, involved a lot of trigonometry and some nosebleeds. True polygon-based 3D engine is in the works using Flash MX's 2D drawing API.
